Objective
Students will apply understanding of composition through a project based experiment using a dslr and other photography capable technology.
Process:
- Student assigned a theme
- Student will use a camera to capture 10 images that best matches the given theme or word
- Students will print their best image and frame for display
- Students describe and caption the image for display including title, ISO, Shutter speed, and aperture
Student will also include in their description where and when the picture was taken.
- Student will upload and assign a gallery page for their photographs
- Blog about the experience for each theme using the theme as title (blog should include how the image relates to the theme, try to include your thought process on taking photography, where you get your ideas, how long it took to take the pictures, did you make mistakes along the way, how did this experience help you become a better photographer? If you had to retake these photos again, would you do something different? What? Did you use compositional rules? Were thinking it when you took the images?)
Shooting for Theme 1 was a little bit difficult. My favorite pictures in Theme 1 was the sun coming down into the trees, where the camera was facing straightly towards the sun.The picture where Evelyn stood by the light difference wall. I think both of these photos relate to my theme because 1st picture shows light that beams down onto the trees. 2nd picture shows a light difference on the wall, and Evelyn was there to show that meaning. Ideas came from nothing. What I was really doing was just trying to find light somewhere, but I also was trying to be creative. It took me approximately 10 minutes. Yes I had made mistakes, some of the pictures came out blurry and I had to retake a lot of them. I tried to take different angles of Theme 1. I don't think i would change anything, just because I liked my ideas and the way the pictures came out on Theme 1. For Theme 2, I would change my pictures because my teacher Mr. Peralta told me that those pictures were boring.
